Duties & Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for planning and performing operational assessments and analyses, bench-marking studies, and establishing performance measures. The Operations Research Analyst is responsible for conducting performance management and organizational improvements and assessments for clients. Will plan and execute petroleum and energy industry bench-marking studies and establishment of program performance measures and goals. Will prepare and execute assessments of client’s operations and maintenance programs related to operating efficiencies, performance capabilities, and reliabilities. Will provide leadership in the planning, execution and evaluation of specialized training exercises and emergency management activities. Provide management consulting support in organizing and facilitating Client organizational assessments, self-assessments, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance Client management performance. Assist in the development of Client program documents and reports, including Annual Reports, Client Program Brochures, Quality Award Applications, etc. This position will be responsible for preparing reports and presentations, and effectively communicating with all levels within the organization (both internal and external). Some travel may be required of this position.

Experience & Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of experience in performing operations analysis, organizational analysis, and operations improvement assessments and appraisals. Must be capable of planning and performing operational assessments and analyses, benchmarking studies, and establishing performance measures. Experience must reflect these capabilities. Knowledgeable of the principles of TQM and experience evaluating and implementing quality improvement processes.

Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree in Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university is the minimum requirement. An advanced degree in management or business administration is desirable.
